REITA has an open membership policy for any global company or institution that is capable of playing a role in REITA’s mission by way of RE-related technology or market expertise.

  • REITA members all have a strong interest in the creation and development of technologies based on the unique performance characteristics of rare earths – from invention to commercialization.  Thus the consortium will consist of scientists in private, academic and government laboratories; development specialists, and commercial entities all with a progressive attitude toward the mission of REITA.  The benefits that accrue to REITA members by group are:

    Scientists / Academia

    • Convenient means to vet and validate rare earth related IP for commercialization potential
    • Ready access to development and commercialization partners
    • Research ideas / needs of the industry
    • Early exposure to new rare earth technologies brought to REITA
    • Ability to influence Rare Earth related research and development conducted by REITA
    • Another means to acquire outside funding for development and commercialization activities not dependent on government solicitations
    •  Opportunity  to build relationships with industry leaders

    Rare Earth Materials Manufacturers

    • Early exposure to new rare earth technologies brought to REITA
    • Right of first refusal to partner in the development and commercialization of technologies brought to REITA
    • Potential access point for rare earth related IP from a third party
    • Convenient means to vet, validate and partner on the development and commercialization of the Rare Earth Materials Manufacturer’s own rare earth related IP
    • Ability to influence Rare Earth related research and development conducted by REITA
    • Expedited means to acquire outside funding for development and commercialization activities
    •  Opportunity  to build relationships rare earth related academia, government labs, component and intermediate manufacturers and OEMs

    Rare Earth Technology Component / Intermediate Manufacturers

    • Early exposure to new rare earth technologies brought to REITA
    • Right of first refusal to partner in the development and commercialization of technologies brought to REITA
    • Potential access point for rare earth related IP from a third party
    • Convenient means to vet, validate and partner on the development and commercialization of the Rare Earth Component / Intermediate Manufacturer’s own rare earth related IP
    • Ability to influence Rare Earth related research and development conducted by REITA
    • Expedited means to acquire outside funding for development and commercialization activities
    • Opportunity  to build relationships rare earth related academia, government labs, rare earth materials manufacturers and OEMs

    Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Prime Defense Systems Contractors:

    • Early exposure to new rare earth technologies brought to REITA
    • Potential access point for rare earth related IP from a third party
    • Right of first refusal to partner in the development and commercialization of technologies brought to REITA
    • Convenient means to vet, validate and partner on the development and commercialization of the OEM’s own rare earth related IP
    • Ability to influence Rare Earth related research and development conducted by REITA
    • Expedited  means to acquire outside funding for development and commercialization activities
    • Opportunity  to build relationships with critical, formerly unknown, Tier 4 (and lower) suppliers in its Value Chain and academia working on rare earth technologies
